Table Gaming History & Strategies
Baccarat
Baccarat name
The Italian word "baccarat" means "zero" in English. Since the French "baccarat" means the same, even today there are many debates pertaining to the origin of the game and each country wants to claim it as theirs.
Origin of baccarat game
And here is one of these versions: the game was first invented by an Italian gambler Felix Falguierein in the middle ages and first was played with a deck of Tarot cards.
They say that the game " ...was based on an old Etruscan ritual of the nine gods, who prayed to a blonde virgin on their tiptoes waiting for her to throw a nine-sided die. The result of the die decided her fate. If an eight or a nine was thrown, she would become the priestess; if she threw a six or seven, she would be banned from any further religious activities; if she threw any number less than six, she would walk into the sea."
I just wonder, if there were any commission?
Later, the baccarat was introduced in France around 1490 A.D. and remained an exclusive game to the French nobility for some time before becoming a casino game.

Carribean Stud Poker
Carribean Stud Poker name
As a result of the popularity of poker, casinos created a house banked game known as Caribbean Stud Poker in order to lure poker fans to play more table games. The birth of the game is not well referenced, which is unusual for a relatively new game. Gambling genius David Sklansky has laid claim to formulating the game on a well-known poker forum, positing that he invented the game in 1982 using the name “Casino Poker”.
When he developed the game the rules had some differences like, the dealer having two hole cards revealed instead of only one hole card revealed as in Caribbean Stud today. Likewise there was no progressive jackpot in the game he allegedly founded. Sklansky was unable to patent "Casino Poker" due to patent laws, according to the story. A few years afterwards he was approached by a poker player who brought the game to Aruba and had it patented. The poker player and a casino owner changed the rules slightly to form what we experience nowadays as Caribbean Stud Poker.

Craps
Craps name
The first take on craps history - According to Richard Epstein, craps is descended from an earlier game known as Hazard, that dates to the Middle Ages. The formal rules for Hazard were established by Montmort early in the 1700s. The origin of the name craps is shrouded in doubt, but it may have come from the English crabs, or from the French Crapeaud (for toad).
There is also evidence that a form of craps can be dated back to the time of the Holy Roman Empire. Soldiers in the Roman Legions used to shave down pig knuckles into the shapes of cubes, and toss them onto their inverted shields as a form of entertainment while in camp. Hence we get the term 'to roll the bones'.
Origin of craps game
In 1125 AD Sir William of Tyre was the leader of a crusaders and they had come upon the castle which was named Asart or Hazarth. Sir William of Tyre and his knights placed a siege on the castle and their favorite pastime activity had won its name during this siege and the game was named after the castle.
There are scholars that believe Hazard originated from an Arabic dice game called "Al Zar" which means "dice" in Arabic and perhaps the game migrated to Europe with the help of merchants even before the 12th century.
There are evidences for dice games even in Egypt dating back to 2600BC which may prove that dice games did originated in the Arabic world which have a vital part in the craps history, but scholars can’t quite connect these finding to craps history, at least for now.

Let It Ride
Let It Ride name
"Let It Ride" was invented by Shuffle Master, who owns the trademark to both the name of the game and the logo.
Origin of let it ride game
Let It Ride is a casino variation of poker, played against the casino rather than against the other players. The game's relatively slow pace and the chance to pull back two of the three bets has made Let It Ride popular with older players and table game neophytes. At the same time, the game's slow pace has resulted in some casino dealers nicknaming the game Let It Die. (A slow-paced game results in fewer tips for the dealer, hence the derogatory nickname.)

The game gained popularity in 1970, and in the same year the Horseshoe Hotel and Casino was opened in Las Vegas by Benny Binion.
